Paths for All
Emma is a charity sector professional approaching two decades working in health charities in Scotland. Emma started her career coordinating youth teams and grass roots programmes in Snowsports and designed computerised systems for accreditation of coaching awards as well as travelled the globe with the young stars of the future, responsible for all logistics of the annual race events calander. Emma transitioned in to the health charity sector where she has spent the last 15 years building knowledge and experience of community engagement, healthcare professional education and training programmes, health promotion and improvement. During her time as Head of Scotland with Bowel Cancer UK, Emma led on the policy ambitions for those effected by bowel cancer in Scotland as well as developing and leading a team across an ambitious bowel screening improvements programmes with NHS and Scottish Government colleagues. Emma led on the co-production of bowel screening resources for people with learning disabilities and their care providers, a project that has gained international recognition and been replicated as it is now used as best practice by NHS Health Scotland.
Emma has joined Paths for All with the ambition to continue the fantastic work of the Dementia Friendly Walking team, working to support walking projects across Scotland to be welcoming, safe, supportive and stimulating experiences for people living with dementia.
